Young Adult Cancer Canada
Background
As businesses globally shifted to a virtual setting, non-profit organization Young Adult Cancer Canada organized Primetown, a 3-day virtual summit, as a way to help maintain community and connections between their organization and young adults with cancer across Canada.
The Ask
Increase awareness of the non-profit and encourage young adults with cancer and their supporters to register for Primetown 2021 and 2022, a 3-day virtual summit.
The Result
Our strategy leveraged an influencer marketing approach, through personal stories of young adults with cancer on Facebook, Instagram, Youtube and TikTok – where the young adult demographic consumes most of their media. As an example, this video by Emily Cox TikTok amassed over 200,000 organic views.
Influencer content was also promoted via paid amplification to maximize reach and resulted in over 13,000 link clicks to the Primetown website. Additionally, four influencers were integrated as speakers of Primetown and the success of the 2021 summit led to an increased scope and budget for Primetown 2022.
